Nanchang Thunip Xianghu Water Co. Ltd. operates Nanchang Xianghu Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is the first large-scale municipal water treatment plant located in the capital city of Nanchang and is an important part of the backbone municipal infrastructure of Nanchang City to realize the goal of sustainable development of the city, constructed and operated in the BOT mode under the group company. The scale of sewage treatment in the first phase is 200,000 tons/day, and the scale of sewage treatment in the long term is 300,000 tons/day. Covering an area of 13.46 hectares, the planned service area is 65 square kilometers, benefiting a population of about 650,000 people.
In May 2019, the construction of Nanchang Xianghu Sewage Treatment Plant Class A Upgrading Project began, the project was completed in December 2020, and formally operated in March 2021, and the effluent water quality now meets the national “Pollutant Emission Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants GB18918-2002” Class A standard.
