Yichang Thunip Yangtze River Water Co., Ltd. is located in Yichang City, Wulin Road west, south of Linjiang River, in the city of Yichang City, downstream of the Yangtze River section. The plant covers an area of 358.59 mu, with a service area of 33.9km2 and a total design scale of 300,000 tons/day, divided into three construction phases: Phase I, Phase II and Tailwater Upgrading Project. It mainly collects urban domestic sewage from Wujiagang District, Xiling District and part of Hi-Tech District in Yichang City, and undertakes the treatment of domestic sewage for about 800,000 people.

Phase I of the project is constructed in BOT mode, and the project is divided into sewage pipe network system and Linjiangxi sewage treatment plant area. The service area of the first phase is 28.9km2, the service population is 560,000, and the effluent discharge water quality implements (GB18918-2002) the B standard of the first class standard. The second phase of the project is constructed by PPP, with a total project scale of 300,000 tons/day, of which 100,000 tons/day will be expanded in the second phase and 300,000 tons/day will be upgraded in the first phase of the project. The service area of the second phase is increased to 33.9km2, the service population is increased to 800,000 people, and the sewage collection rate of the second phase reaches 90%. The effluent is in accordance with the “Pollutant Emission Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants” (GB18918-2002) Class A standard.
